Thanks to Benjamin Loh (who is formerly from Singapore Tourism Board), I got the chance to get on board the Singapore Clipper! I, like most of you, have never heard of a clipper before, so I was clueless until I reached Marina at Keppel Bay!

In a nutshell, it’s a racing yacht and they were currently in the Clipper Race. Singapore was the 4th leg of the race and the next destination was Qing Dao, China.

It was a great experience to set sail with the other bloggers, albeit only for a couple of hours!

Some of us even got our hands on the steering wheel of the boat!

That’s me trying to smile at the camera but it was very stressful steering that thing – Thus, that constipated expression! However it was quite surreal because I’d just passed my driving test a few days ago. And it was as if I’m there for the boat-driving test! LOL

Well, the less stressful thing was, of course, to camwhore on the boat.

Whilst getting a healthy does of vitamin D, we were ushered to take a look at the crew members’ living quarters.

I had a very enjoyable time as the crew was very hospitable!

Here’s a group photo taken by Huishan!

I shall end this blog entry with a video of us being very terrified when the clipper was turning and leaning towards one side! Catch the girls screaming! Haha!

Sometimes I really wonder why is life so fragile.

We first heard about her stroke incident on Thursday and just moments ago, (various) (sources) announced that she’d just passed away.

I’m very sadden by the news, I thought she would get better after the operation. Life is just too delicate.

I’m sincerely very honored that I’ve met her so recently and be inspired by her. She is undeniably a great talent and someone with so much heart & soul in her work. You have all my respect, and our prayers to you, Yasmin Ahmad.

Rest in peace.
