Now watch the “original” video! Someone went to “undistort” the original video! This is equally as funny too! LOL!

Twenty ten has been a really fruitful year! Here’s the obligatory recap!

Posted in: Journalogue

What seemed like a happy end to an “epic” journey (or so we called it because there were so many us traveling together this time round!) turned out to be such a sour crossfire. Funny because it was none of us on the trip who started it. That person was a common friend of ours, who was in Singapore reading our “emo” tweets about how reluctant we are to fly back to “reality”.

All hell broke lose when she decided to make a judgmental comment about the need to stay off Twitter for awhile as there were too many people with “emo” tweets. And I supposed she wanted us to know that she was talking about us since she nonchalantly included the hashtag that we created for this travel trip.

There were already two points here which ought to be pointed out. Firstly, who doesn’t tweet about their emotions? Isn’t Twitter all about instant updates of your thoughts? Has nobody “emo” before in their Twitter updates?

Next, well this is a common childish response, but if you are really that upset about reading whoever’s tweets, then by all means unfollow.

So anyway, it does make sense for us to retaliate since she intended for us to see her tweet, right?

Yes, I would say my initial response was very bitchy and very sarcastic. (I went on to emphasize her warped mentality of Twitter cannot have “emo” tweets.) The rest also had their fair share of retort.

Sarcasm is definitely not the correct way but it was so agonizing to have somebody putting you down with no apparent reason!

Not apologetic or even seeing the point of the argument, she went on tweeting about the story of her family and how she has to soon become the sole breadwinner of the household.

“How’s that for coming back to reality?” she tweeted after that.

I feel really bad for her and I can totally feel how miserable it is to be in her shoes as my family isn’t doing good too.

But truth be told, she needs to realize that the whole world does not only revolve around her dysfunction family.

How good is your judgement when you start bringing in your personal problems to the table? Does going through a tough period give you the privilege to vent your anger on your friends? Does everybody have no rights to express their sadness just because their bad times are not as worst as yours?

If you don’t get my point by now, then I’m really sorry that I also cannot function in your warped mentality.

Anyway, I tweeted straight back to her since it wasn’t looking good and going in the way of a cryptic bitching session on Twitter.

@clauds Why are you comparing your own family problems with our reluctance to fly back? Ain’t you being emo yourself? #oxymoron

@jayleif save the sarcasm. Theres a button call unfollow. PRESS IT! #idiot

Zzzzz… Fine by me if you cannot do logical argument and want to take flight like that. Don’t shoot yourself in your own feet by starting something you cannot handle.

Disclaimer: The following is not sarcasm.

I am honestly very disappointed in you, Huishan. Although I don’t talk to you much, I’ve always thought that you are a very nice and reasonable person.

Also, I am genuinely sorry about your current situation. :(

Update:
On the contrary of her claim on her blog that she has already apologized, there wasn’t any at all. If it’s any better, a proper apology is 90% of “I am sorry” and 10% of “I have apologized” – not the other way round.

This is how you look like right now:

I’ve forgotten to schedule a blog post for the last day of the year, so here I am standing in Slim club in RCA, Bangkok, blogging away on my iPhone before the party starts!

So anyway, 2010 has been a rather fruitful year for me! I hope it had been good to you too if you are reading! I’ll be doing a proper recap-of-the-year blog entry really soon!

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYBODY!!!

LOLOL!!!
