I don’t normally have new blog entries up here on Sundays, but I’d thought why not make it a point to share the inspiring stuff I’ve found on the world wide web. So here is the first entry of the series!
When I first saw this set of work by Dan Mountford, I thought they were very pretty collages put together in Photoshop.
But I was so wrong! The set is called “Double Exposure” and as the name suggests, the images and actually photographs that have been exposed twice. The overlay effect is literally done in the camera itself. The only post processing done was the colour tones.
I’ve seen quite a lot of double exposure film photography, but I’ve yet to come across anything this brilliant. This next one has more post work done to the photograph in terms of the graphic vectors, but still an excellent piece nonetheless:

Do you use those silicone protector for your computer keyboard? I’m a bit of a clean freak, so I’ve been using those keyboard covers ever since I got my first MacBook Pro.
So anyway, I was surfing the net when I came across one that I would deem as the prefect one for myself! Merry Christmas anybody??? HAHAHA!
It has got all the shortcuts for Photoshop! And it even comes in different versions for other softwares like Aperture, Final Cut Pro, Pro Tools, After Effects and Logic Pro!
It is a tad pricey at USD$30 for laptop keyboards, but it’s definitely worth the time saved from learning and memorizing shortcuts that you don’t already know. Not sure about you, but I rely on keyboard shortcuts A LOT; It saves time and effort rather than having to click through the menu.
y lecturer anyhowly signed up for me to attend this random video workshop in school, which, turned out to be really random indeed. It wasn’t even about like videography or the technicalities, I felt it was more of a workshop of bullshitting. But isn’t art and design sometimes like that too? People doing well =/= Their work is good. It’s just a matter of knowing how to bullshit or not – a skill which I haven’t quite acquired.
So anyway, here’s what a group of us came up with at the end of the course. Shot and edited in roughly two hours. Music and colour correction was later added by me though, we presented the video with the original colour and in silent.
Told you it didn’t make any sense. Haha. But being the most senior in the group, I randomly cooked up a concept and blabber away. The woman who held the workshop was happy with our work, so, YAY BULLSHITTING ROCKS!
Apart from the video, we also did some activity with photobooth and here some of the outcome:

‘m sure a lot of you would have seen how cosmetics can drastically change a woman’s look. I’m always amazed at how they can transform from an ordinary person into some superstar-looking babes. That said, I have nothing against women with make-up!
Just when you though cosmetics are the only trick up their sleeves, a Taiwanese variety show “exposed” how women fake their breast size!!! A classmate of mine posted these videos up on Facebook and I literally jaw-dropped as I watch!

I know there are push-up bras, nubras and such, but these are too drastic already, no??? One of them used 3 layers of nubra, and one used socks!! LOL!!!
