We get on the trains a lot because it’s quite a convenient mode of transport to travel round England. So here are some of the photos taken during one of our train rides!

The point of this photo was to sneak a shot at that angmoh guy on the left! Haha! Don’t you think that he looked a lot like Charlie McDonnell?! Even the dressing’s similar!

This photo is from another time at the train station but I’m posting it up anyway since it’s the same location! :D

Only thing that I don’t miss in LU is probably the food.

Staying in dorms is an experience that would be dearly missed!

My room is the one to the extreme right on the second level! The photo was taken on the day that we left, which explains the bare tree!

Here’s the view from my window when I first arrived…

And how it looked like towards the end of my stay!

Not trying to be picky, but the dorm really sucked donkey balls. It wasn’t even supposed to be one that was allocated to us! This whole “Village Court” stretch literally felt like a village! The heaters aren’t working, the parts of the buildings are really old and torn down and there isn’t a proper kitchen for us to cook! Hell, it is not even in the school’s dormitory directory! Word is that they were going to tear the few buildings down after we leave.

By the time there were any talks of us shifting, we were already too settled into the shabby place to move.

Here’re photos of my room:

Nonetheless, the place grew on us and I’m sure all of us are dying to go back! If it helps the agony, it’s snowing over there now!!! :(

The birthday surprises!

The tight get-togethers in our rooms!

Cooking in the pathetic pantry…

BEFORE feasting on our self-cooked meal…

AFTER!! :D :D :D

Not forgetting doing our laundry every now and then!

See the joining rooms between the two buildings? Well, nobody stays in the rooms but some of my classmates claimed that they hear sounds coming from the empty rooms! SPOOKY!!!

You know how some songs remind you of a certain point of time in your life? Like how Jolin Tsai’s songs reminds me of the time I was with my ex; Her songs kept me company while I travelled all the way from the west to Tampines almost everyday!

So here’s a list of songs that are currently on my playlist, which reminds me of the two months in UK!

1. Labrinth – Let The Sun Shine
The actual music video isn’t available to Singapore, so I had to embed this video instead. This song’s quite hot on UK radio when I was there; it was being played every single day!

2. Taio Cruz – Dynamite
This song needs no introduction, and yes, this is one of the songs that rocked the clubs. Ahhh I really miss clubbing in Loughborough Uni. YES YOU READ IT RIGHT – LU HAS A CLUB WITHIN THE CAMPUS! Just all the uni students partying away, no weird old men trying to pick ladies up. Hah!

3. 3OH!3 – Starstrukk (feat. Katy Perry)
I don’t really fancy this track but it is apparently doing well on the UK radio that I can’t help but to listen to it until it’s stuck in my head. What kind of spelling is “starstruKK” anyway?!

4. Flo Rida – Club Can’t Handle Me ft. David Guetta
Another hot clubbing dance track! OH! You must watch this “indian style” of the song if you haven’t already! Funny shit!!

5. Duck Sauce – Barbra Streisand
This song has only a few lines repeated as the lyrics, but it’s ace! Warped but it’s “deliriously catchy” and “endlessly danceable”!

6. Yolanda Be Cool Vrs DCup – We No Speak Americano
Smashing track that reminds of the awesomest place ever – BELFAST! I am seriously in love with that place. If Thailand is my top most favourite country, Belfast (Ireland) has got to be next in ranking in my book! The place is so gorgeous, the accent of the people is so beautiful and the people are ALL so friendly! ‘We No Speak Americano’ kept coming up when I was clubbing after Lady Gaga’s concert in Belfast! Do check out this video of a super ace dance duo who choreographed a “hand dance” to the song!

7. Joe McElderry – Ambitions
A super uplifting song that kept me going while I did my school project! Joe McElderry is the winner of last year’s X Factor and I still can’t believe that this dude is actually younger than me! Awesome song nonetheless!

8. Alexis Jordan – Happiness
One of the last few songs I caught from UK radio before I left! Catchy track! …I gotta hurry hurry hurry now quick quick quick…

First and foremost, it’s pronounced as ‘luf-bra’. Yeah, like HAHA-NEHNEH!! LOL! Loughborough is a small town located in Leicester – one of the many cities in England. And the uni I went to was Loughborough University!

LU well known for its sports programmes, and there are always very fit angmohs running around campus making us feel extra inferior about ourselves! :( But anyhow, I love taking photos around this place, everywhere is so beautiful!

One of the many misty mornings on our way to school!

The girls in an impromptu line up for phototaking!

Random photo of a spider! Spiders like this were all around the school!

Loughborough town is like a 15 minutes walk away from where we stay. Although it’s not really that far away, it was still kinda irritating because the buses end really early and doesn’t come as often as the buses here in Singapore. So if we missed the bus, we’d be dreading to walk in the cold back to our dorm.

The “oriental” supermarket that sells many lifesavers like Maggi chilli and Thai sweet chilli sauces!

OOOOH! And Tesco sells my favourite brand of body soap and shampoo!

AND IN MANY OTHER INTERESTING FLAVOURS!

…and they are available in refill packs too! How awesome is that?! It’s so difficult to find these in Singapore, let alone how much more expensive they are sold over here! BOOOO!!
